JAMMU: The fight for title bout in the 4th Annual Rathian Kesari Vishal Dangal between Sarvar of Chandigarh and Gurvinder of Punjab ended in a draw resulting into both the wrestlers, contesting for the main bout, shared Rs 6,000 each as prize money. Dangal was organised by Rathian Young Dangal Committee in association with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
The main bout between the Punjab and Chandigarh wrestlers lasted for 29 minutes.
The second main bout was won by wrestler Abdul Gani of Maller Kotla (Punjab) defeating Somveer of Rohtak in Haryana to receive a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Runners-up, Somveer got Rs 4,000. Third main bout went Benia Bean of J and K Police, who beat Parveen of Mohali in Chandigarh.
Member Legislative Assembly, Balwant Singh Mankotia was the Chief Guest on the occasion who gave away cash prize to the winners. Shiv Kumar Sharma, president J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association presided. President Industrial Estate Association Udhampur, Darshan Kumar Mehra and Mohinder were Guests of Honour.
Members of organising committee and those technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of dangal were Bhagwan Dass Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Kartar Chand, Nasir Khan, Ajay Dubey, Jewan Lal, Master Swarn Singh, Capt. (Retd.) Lehar Singh, Mohammad Fareed, Vijay Singh (Biju), Suram Chand and Yash paul Patwari.
