The Hari Ram Wrestling committee today unveiled the logo for the upcoming 1st Hari Ram Wrestling Grand Pix Tournament 2012 to be held in New Delhi on 25-27 May.
The event is sponsored by the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA), the Asian Associated Wrestling Council (AAWC), and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
The organizing committee will cover all the costs for the participants, including round-trip air fare to New Delhi, lodging, meals and local transport. This is the first Wrestling Grand Prix tournament being held in Asia and it will be an annual event.
According to Shri Rajsingh Ji, participation is by invitation only and so far 16 of the 30 countries invited have confirmed. There will be competition in all 7 weight categories for men and women.

The prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd place will be US$3000, US$2000, and US$1000 respectively.
The competition will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, one of the best stadiums in the world.
The wrestling event is backed by Raphael Martinetti, the honorable president of FILA and Dr. Kim Chang Kew, the president of Asian Associated Wrestling council.
Sh. Brij Bhushan Singh honorable MP, and the president of Wrestling Federation of India and honorable Sh. Raj Singh, secretary general of WFI were present at the announcement and assured all possible help to make this event successful .
The organising committee executive board includes Chairman Ashok Aggarwal ji, Working Chairman G.S. Munder Ji, Vice Chairman , Honorable MP Brij Bhushan Saran Singh Ji, and Suresh K Chopra ji, Organizing Secretary Raj Singh Ji, Joint Organising Secretary Olympian Shri Prem Nath Ji, Event Manager R.S. Sharma ji, and Prashant Rohtagi and Hind Kesari Sh. Jagdish Kaliraman ji as coordinator and Media Secretary.
It will be a great opportunity for the wrestlers to participate in a world class tournament and they will also visit many of India's famous historical sites.
The city of Delhi is making a big effort to host a successful event. It's also getting lots of support from the wrestling gurus, government officials -- including the mayor of Delhi -- and many corporate sponsors as well.
