Divya Sain Wins Silver at Cadet Championship in Mongolia

By Deepak Ansuia Prasad

Last month when, Wrestler divya sain went to kanyakumari everybody of sure of a medal, and she proved them right by winning a gold for delhi. The director of indian sports himself presented her with the gold medal. This made her eligible to participate in the Asian Junior cadets championship - to be held at ulaanbaatar mongolia. And yes she was selected.

It took us a great deal of efforts to apply and get a passport for her, running from pillar to post , we requested many ruthless officials with folded hands, at times arguing with them and once so harassed that we felt sitting outside the office doing a hunger strike in agitation. the passport finally reached us in the dying moments of applying for visa

It was all worth doing as Divya fought well there and begged a silver medal , loosing gold in the dying moments of match , over a disputed caution point by the match refere.

When i went to drop divya at the airport along with her family she was very promising , there we met the indian team coaches and rest of the girls, who did well there and along with Divya win three silver two bronze medal , among them Divya, Anuj Phogat and babita rani begged silver , while manju and pooja tomar won bronze. Apart from it the overall wrestling championship was given to indian girls. that was wonder full. in this year wrestling has been winning a great deal . we have won overall wrestling championship in three age groups , cadets, juniors and seniors in asia. it is a great achievement say Brijbhushan saran ji , the president of indian wrestling.
